Glock Cleaning made easy

By Jorge Amselle

For straighter shootin’, easier cleaning, safety and sheer comfort…

In Law enforcement, the Glock series of pistols has become one of the most, if not the most, popular gun in use today. Now, thanks to GTUL, Inc. there is no excuse not to keep your Glock magazines clean. GTUL’s patented system allows one to easily disassemble and clean any 9mm, .40, 10mm, or .45ACP Glock magazine in seconds. GTUL SYSTEM A simple polymer “C” shaped clamp fits over the magazine and slides to the bottom. The clamp has indentations that depress the magazine’s locking tabs to just the right amount when the open part of the clamp is squeezed shut. The provided nylon magazine brush includes a steel punch at one end to push in the retaining pin and when it is pulled forward, the floorplate comes off. “Our tool is especially popular among law enforcement officers and competitive shooters, and it was picked up by the primary firearms instructor for the DEA as well,” said Greg Morando, GTUL’s President. Indeed, GTUL’s website is full of testimonials from law enforcement officers, including Lt. John Lambert with the Jackson Police Department in Tennessee who wrote, “I’m one of four or five armorers here for my Department charged with the general maintenance of approximately 250 Glocks. Your GTUL makes short work of what has been a pain.” GTUL’s web site lists over a dozen state, local, and federal agencies that have purchased the system to keep their Glock magazines clean and reliable. SIMPLICITY The beauty of the GTUL is in its simplicity and ease of use and immediately causes one of those “why didn’t I think of this?” moments. The magazine clamps are available in three colors: red for 9mm/.40, green for 10mm.45ACP, and blue for the G36 single-stack .45ACP magazine and they can be purchased as a set or separately.
