GTUL is a simple, rugged and effective tool that will help disassemble ten round Clinton magazines. Always wear safety glasses during disassembly and start with an empty magazine. Place GTUL logo side up on the magazine, with the open end in line with the witness holes. Some ten round magazines will allow you to fully insert the punch down and forward of the retaining pin. If so, squeeze the legs of GTUL to release the locking tabs then leverage the punch towards you to remove the floorplate. Cover the inner floorplate, spring and follower with your thumb to capture them.
If you are unable to fully insert the punch into the body of the magazine, angle the punch down and forward of the retaining pin about ¼” then squeeze the legs of GTUL. With the punch against the leading edge of the retaining pin pull the punch towards you to remove the floorplate. Cover the inner floorplate, spring and follower with your thumb to capture them. Remove and clean your magazine, spring and follower with the GTUL MagBrush.
